After contacting a number of Kiko goat ranchers and mulling over the available goats, prices and locations, we decided to start small. Small investment, small goat and not such a long distance to drive to pick him up! We settled on a very young buckling in Kentucky. He’s the darker one in the back in this photo. He was born in October so he’s just a little lad right now. He was one of a set of triplets so we hope he will pass on that trait to any daughters. He will probably be about ready to get to work as our does turn 1 year old in the spring and are ready to be bred. We will drive down to get him in early January. He is currently being called Hot Rod (but after the number of slightly racy comments we’ve had about that name it will probably be changed).
