Yeah, you guessed it – not happening. At least 90% certain that it isn’t happening. The buyer came back to fill out rental paperwork at the office and then came over to tell me he was pretty sure he would not pass muster. He said he would fill out the papers but truthfully I don’t think he will bother. He didn’t expect a stringent clearance process, obviously. He declined to leave a deposit and suggested that if I had other interested parties I should just sell it to them. So, it’s back to the drawing board and counting our pennies

So sorry to hear that you’ve faced another setback.
I’m not sure if it’s helpful, but I was recently made aware of a local company in your field that seems to be flourishing and expanding. Perhaps you might be able to contact them about employment once you reach the Midwest?
Best of luck!
just being funny but can’t yu dismantle and put it back together when you get there,
sorry life sucks sometimes, you win a little you loose a little, sometimes the cards do not get stacked in our favor! you will rise above as you always do
Gads, that’s awful. We’re in the same situation. Had an offer on our house but today the buyer cancelled saying it was taking too long–he’d made the offer less than a month ago and no time limit was in the offer. But I guess nowadays a buyer can do pretty much what they want to. We are committed to moving mid-July, we have enough money to move and to pay bills for a few months, then…
Scary times, eh?
It is indeed! Good luck with your sale.
What a disappointment to be back in this spot. I hope the weekend produces more results.
oh no. yikes. Will your car pull the trailor if needed?
No – it takes a one-ton pickup to haul it and there’s no way we could afford the gas to get across country! If worse comes to worse we will just take the very low offer which won’t leave us with anything if it gets us across country.
